The journey of life is toward freedom. A bird cannot hold its perch and fly….neither can we grasp anything and be free.
Ultimately there is nothing I can tell you about surrender except
Having nothing and wanting nothing;
not keeping score,
not trying to be richer,
not being afraid of losing;
not being particularly interested in our own personalities;
choosing to be happy, no matter what happens to us.
These are some of the clues.
The rest we learn with practice and grace.
So….I have officially given notice on my apartment in Oakland and am preparing to go on the road for a few months. Some people would (and have) called me crazy, but I am committed to continually staying present, listening to what is next – even if that is quite different than what has gone before, and trusting that I will be guided toward more depth, truth telling and engagement. I have had a few years of rebalancing and reclaiming my truth and am ready to launch my Voice of Change work with boldness. It is a powerful time….as America continues its march toward some kind of insanity, I am hoping that as the darkness increases, we are being woken up from our comfort zone so profoundly that we simply cannot go back to the way we were. I am doing what I know to do as I train Voice of Change facilitators and work with Off The Mat to empower ordinary people to do extraordinary things. Please join me in releasing your own inner resistance, becoming interruptors of the systems of oppression and taking risks toward PRESENCE. thank you
I just returned from the Lead with Love event benefitting the Aspen City of Well Being Initiative. It was a wonderful weekend with some incredible folks such as Tao Porchon-Lynch (the worlds oldest yoga teacher), Marianne Williamson, Deepak Chopra, Seane Corn, Rod Stryker, Scott Neeson and many more! I was thrilled to offer Voice of Change and some deep moments of connective ritual. All of us – especially those with a platform and resources, need to be bold and take risks…understanding that WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER.
May all beings be free from suffering and the causes of suffering.
