Sing and Walk to Fight Alzheimer’s #ENDALZ
October 24, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pmFree – $1000
Join our team in a ritual of remembrance and hope in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease led by Suzanne Sterling, a world-renowned vocalist, composer, teacher and invoker of the sacred who creates meaningful participatory ceremonies for large gatherings and festivals worldwide.
“I lost my father and grandmother to Alzheimer’s disease, and I can think of no better way to honor these two ancestors than to sing with my community and support research to find a cure.” – Suzanne Sterling
At 10 AM, we’ll join together at the Lake Merritt Pergola (aka the Arches) to sing (distanced and with masks) for 30 minutes. Then, at 10:30 am, we’ll start walking clockwise around the lake to raise awareness and show our support for the 5.7 million Americans currently living with this incurable disease. (Distance around the Lake = 3.4 miles.)
Please donate before joining us if you can. Join us no matter what! Let’s gather and sing and celebrate one another while raising awareness about Alzheimer’s.
