Off The Mat, Into the World
In 2006 Suzanne, Seane Corn and Hala Khouri co-founded the non-profit Off the Mat, Into the World which has grown to become a community of leaders bridging the tools of yoga with sustainable, conscious activism and effective community action on and off the mat.
Off The Mat, Into the World has been working to assist in an awakening to equity, justice and the vision of a world filled with solution oriented creativity. We have worked to bridge the gap between yoga, interpersonal transformation, social justice and action by providing leadership training skills both in-person and online for maximum accessibility. We endeavor to build community, support projects and the change makers who lead them, honor those who are already in leadership by providing tools of self-care for sustainability, as well as offer the necessary training for those looking to engage and activate change and awareness on a community-based level. And perhaps most importantly, we have modeled and offered skill training in the kind of collaboration that is key to creating new structures of leadership and action.
In other words, we invite, excite and support ordinary people to do extraordinary things. And we want YOU to be a part of the growing community.
